Minimal Realism is a fictitious MoMA exhibition that celebrates the work of illustrator, Charley Harper. Harper’s work emphasizes using nature and real-world objects in a more minimal and geometric approach, in which Harper calls his movement, ‘minimal realism’. My goal for this campaign was to think about Harper’s whimsical yet calming compositions in another level.

Storyboard

In order to effectively create the animation, I had to do layer separation on each of Harper’s artwork that I wished to show, which ultimately helped me when it came to creating micro-animations. Furthermore, in After Effects, I used a 3D camera to assist me with my camera angles.
